Chronic Kidney Disease Stages
2 months ago by mediluxayurveda40
Chronic Kidney Disease Stages explain the progressive decline in kidney function and are divided into five levels based on the glomerular filtration rate (GFR). In Stage 1, kidney damage is present but function remains normal with little or no symptoms. Stage 2 shows a slight decrease in kidney efficiency. Stage 3, split into 3A and 3B, involves moderate loss of function and noticeable symptoms such as tiredness and swelling. Stage 4 reflects advanced kidney damage and requires careful medical management. Stage 5 is kidney failure, where dialysis or a kidney transplant becomes necessary.
